Working directly with our client in Beckenham, London, we were briefed to transform this unused dining room into a media room that the whole family could enjoy. Along with watching films, the family wished to play games consoles on the 100″ home cinema projection screen. Fundamental to the installation was for everything to be easily controlled. In addition, the client wanted the room to be finished with bespoke joinery to hide the speakers and cinema equipment.

MEDIA ROOM INSTALLATION
Having seen our demonstration home cinema in our showroom, the Client was blown away by the performance and incredible picture available in such a small space. Architectural plans were quickly adapted to make use of the old dining room and turn it into a dedicated media room for films, gaming and TV watching.
Working within the small room, Circle Automation designed a system as close to reference as possible, designing a Dolby Atmos 5.2.2 home cinema. The Screen Excellence screen measures 100” with a 16:9 aspect ratio – perfect for gaming and watching TV.
The Artcoustic speakers are hidden behind the acoustically transparent screen, whilst the 2 subwoofers are hidden discreetly within the custom designed and handmade joinery. Our skilled engineers not only designed the cinema, but also the joinery. Once the design was finalised our joiners set about making the furniture off site in a dedicated workshop whilst the onsite team cabled the cinema and the rest of the home for a Control4 home automation system. When cabling, builders works and decorations were complete, our fitters installed the joinery and then set about installing and commissioning the cinema. On completion of the installation our specialist engineers calibrated both picture and sound, ensuring every piece of equipment was working at its very best.
