The brief for this AV and home automation system was to design and install a simple and easy to use multi-zone music system for an open plan property in Chelsea, that was being developed for resale. Audio was required both inside and outside the property which has a stunning roof terrace. The roof terrace is situated on the 10th floor of the building and has a Jacuzzi hot tub with views over London. The system needed to be designed to work with the new tenants media devices when they move into the property. As the tenants will move in at a later date, the system also needed to be intuitive to use.
We worked closely with the Property Developer in London to design and install a suitable multi-zone media system for this stunning 2 bedroom penthouse in Chelsea. Our team have put together a system consisting of multiple zones of Sonos inside the property and externally on the roof terrace. The network & WiFi were critical to the overall success of the project and as such a robust system has been installed. As space is at such a premium in this Penthouse, the equipment has been cleverly located within a small, ventilated, out of sight cupboard. A single remote operates the TV and all future tenant supplied source devices in the main living area.
The Client was keen to install an audio visual system that was simple and easy to use for the new tenants. For this reason it was decided that a Sonos system complete with in-ceiling speakers would work well for music around the penthouse. The living area benefits from a 5.1 audio set up for surround sound with Artcoustic speakers. An intuitive Control4 remote has been installed for control of the system within the living area.
